EASING INTO FALL..... Hollywood Trainer Style

Before I let my clients hibernate into the winter holiday season, we broke away from the gym and hung out Hollywood style. The main client keeping up with me on the scene and his workout in the gym is Avi. Mr. Avi Esquire has been doing well juggling his busy attorney schedule and his workout schedule up until now. We have come to a temporary stand still because Avi has tweaked his back. This could be due to improper lifting and/or not enough stretching(both very important). After seeing a chiropractor, he's eager to jump back in the workout saddle. He'll be kick-boxing again in no time. BIG UPS TO YOU AVI! (YOUR BEFORE & AFTER PICS ARE GREAT!)

The Fall fun also included supporting clients' film screening, release party, and birthdays.
Along with my friend, The beautiful Korean Princess Grace, my friend Ryan came out from Philly to help me support my clients and their current endeavors. 1st on the PR party list was a screening of my client, adult film star, Jason Ridge's latest film. It was at a bar/club in Silverlake on Holloween weekend. We had a blast! Then came the release party dinner; held at a premier West Hollywood restaurant/bar a few days later. We ate, drank and mixed in Avi's birthday at the end(Thanks Jason!)
Jason, being busy with his new production company successfully taking off, takes time out to workout(Box and kick-box) with me. It's hella for him this time around but he handles it.

Another support slash PR slash excuse to party event that took place was my friend and client, Mother's Birthday party in the Hollywood hills. This also was a chance for me to thank Mother again for allowing me to be apart of the Yoga retreat that he headed up at the end of this summer. It's fall now and I'm still feeling it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY and Thanks again Mother! I had a nice time. Tell Fred to call me! (Fred is Mother's boyfriend whom I also train). You can check Mother out at www.YoMother.com.

One of the last events of that action packed week was hanging out with my friend and client Devan and some other friends. Devan has maintained control of her weight by changing her diet and the small changes went a long way. (YOU LOOK GOOD GIRL!)
After managing a busy, and now thanks to Oprah, a well known bakery in L.A., Devan stepped out with us in a short and backless black dress with candy apple red heels.(she looked amazing!) I know it's not easy Devan, working around all those delicious treats, but, please allow me to be the first to say that you are doing well and I am proud of you!

Spending time with my clients outside the gym and sharing their happiness is a great frenge benefit to my job as personal fitness trainer. I love my job and it makes me happy to see them happy.

BE WELL!

HOT PERSONAL TRAINER, DONNIE'S RECAP OF THE 2ND QUARTER OF 2007

MAY, JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST OF 2007!

I'm still an East Coast (mentality) Trainer in Hollywood (Where image is Everything!!!)
So here's where I left off; I started training Avi, a former client if Doug Blaisdell (star trainer of BRAVO's "WORKOUT").
(Big ups to you Doug; R.I.P.)
Despite Avi's hectic attorney work schedule and both of our summer traveling, his workout schedule has been consistant for the most part. We are on our 4th workout program with 6 week increments. The program involves extended sets (more hella than super setting). He's cutting right this one and he likes it so I love it. And if you see him on the street, don't test him because prior to the lifting, we are banging out self defense boxing and kickboxing.
Also through May, June and July, I've trained Devan Brockington, a former athelete and native New Yorker. She's done so well with the Krav Maga self defense that she's moved on to strictly practicing martial arts. Way to go Devan!
Other female clients include Glenda Espinosa and Jarmila kotik.
Glenda came to me by way of my first family clients of Beverly Hills whom I've trained at their home gym. She has been working hard with me and doing cardio on her own and it's paid off. She has slimmed down nicely over the summer. I am happy for you and proud of you Glenda.
Jarmila is a native of Chile and falls into the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" group, however, she is no stranger to hard work. She is one of the few that I've met so far that gives me a run for my money hiking around Hollywood's Runyon Canyon.
She and I have also have hit the beach several times this summer; Venice, Malibu..... I call her Jazz. I love you Jazz!

Took a little time off in July, after celebrating my birthday with my friends here in L.A. I spent time with friends and family on the east coast (New York and Philadelphia). Did 6 flags Great Adventure in Jersey, club Crash in NYC, and my family reunion.
Had a Blast!
The Summer ended with a Yoga retreat on a ranch in San Luis Obisbo, Central California. Headed up by my friend and client MOTHER. He has changed my whole perception of Yoga. Prior to the retreat, I just viewed yoga as a way to get my cardio & flexibility in. But this retreat was spiritual, mind clearing, and away from it all.(One meditation and arm movement lasted for 22 minutes) It was definitely a positive impact on my life. Thanks Mother! You can check him out at www.YoMother.com

And last but certrainly not least, Adult film star, director, and producer, iconic American beauty Jason Ridge has been M.I.A. from our workout sessions. I've found him building his production company empire; traveling, promoting, doing guest appearances; Howard Stern, etc.... We last left him gettin tip top shape for his movies and appearances. Well he's back with a vengence, in the gym! With 3 movies under his production company umbrella, he ready to focus on himself again. Stay tuned!!!

This blog is for all who wants to read it; to learn about fitness tips and my life as an East Coast Fitness Trainer in Hollywood.
It also will serve as a weekly news letter for my current and potential clients and a way for my friends & me to stay up with each other.

Tune in next week to read about new clients and how we're combating the Fall lazy hybernating weight gain season

RECAP OF THE 1ST QUARTER OF 2007

2007 has started off with a bang! And it's still on fire! Brought the New Year in with friends in New York and I managed to workout everyday at New York Sports Club in Manhattan. I thought the cold & frigidity would stop me but it didn't. Came back to find a fellow trainer and friend (Doug Blasdell) from the hit reality show, The Workout on Bravo, has passed away. Doug was one of the 1st people to befriend me at my gym (TRAIN). He's missed! OK, fast-forwarding to Febuary, to the heat, Miami Heat! Went to South Beach to visit a fellow trainer & friend. I arrive the same day Anna Nicole passed away there so the city was quite somber at first. My good friend & client Jason Ridge came with. We had a blast! Ate, drank, & hit the beach. I worked out at Crunch (saw Hulk Hogan & he's huge!). So I get back to L.A., training diligently in March but missed South Beach so my client and I decided to take a drive down the PCH to Malibu. (Great close getaway) We ate at my favorite shack, Malibu Seafood. Had a couple of Carona's on the beach and headed back. The beginning of the second quarter of the year (April), Starts off with a trip to N.Y., hanging out alot with friends and clients, and a new client roster that includes a unique actor, a naked yoga intructor and his boyfriend, a regular New York City girl, a couple from the mid-west, a tattooed massuer (gentle giant), and a former client of Doug Blasdell.

STAY TUNED!
